Screen Printing on T-Shirts
(Age 6-10)

This autumn workshop aims to encourage kids to have fun with art on fabric by designing and screen-printing a t-shirt in a day that they can wear home! (Tee shirt is included – please specify size – they are small sizes)

The children will work through the process of designing , composing and positioning an image on their t-shirt made from a number of shapes, using tangrams and patterns. They then learn about colour theory and how to mix colours for printing. Participants will screen-print their design using a traditional screen and squeegee and a block-out type stencil, which they put together themselves….The result, a creation of a super cool and individual t-shirt to wear with pride.

Bring along a nut-free lunch, a fruit snack and a water bottle as the workshop runs from 10-2.30 and all the creativity may result in hungry bellies…

Please bring an art shirt or apron as we are using paints. Kids may get dirty!
