Meditate and Draw

During these ‘very different’ times we here at Art Space would like to offer you a lighthearted, creative get-together with us.
We hope that this online workshop series is a way to connect, to share community and send out some positive energy…and hopefully a few laughs, maybe even learn something new!
Each 90 minute (or so) session will include a 10 minute mini-mindfulness mediation led by qualified meditation teacher, Karen Hansen from Pure Relaxation.
At challenging times, mediation is a fabulous practice to help us be present and chill out a little.
Following this will be a lighthearted drawing session with Jane from The Model Speaks. Jane is a very experienced life model (which means she models nude for artists.) She is also a caring animal lover, radio DJ, fashionista, belly dancer, tells a damn good story and the list goes on. So with Jane on side this week is sure to not only be relaxing, but also include some fun! Jane will be draped for this class.
Once you have booked in online as usual, you will be emailed before the start of the workshop with a “what to do and what you will need” thingy.
Materials will obviously be kept pretty simple and straightforward.
This week, for drawing, you will need some paper, or a book to draw in, a pen, a pencil, a piece of charcoal, maybe some pastels if you have them.
You will also need to get the Zoom app on your device so that you can join the meeting.
When you are registered for the workshop you will then be sent a link before the workshop starts which will give you access to the ‘Relax and Create’ workshop that evening.
If you have children at home with you then you are welcome to include them too.
The goal of the Relax and Create Series is to connect people, art and ideas as well as bring us all together in good spirits in difficult and changing times.
