Heroes (Age 9+)

Resilient kids know their strengths and how to use them to face challenges

In this fun workshop children will identify their inner Strength Hero and create a water colour painting using the symbols of the ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses to represent their strengths in a piece of art. They will also use clay to create their own strengths totem The art work will remind them of the messages long after the work dries.

Each child will identify their strengths and through our playful art activities will explore:

• the power of symbolism on our mindset and how you can use creativity as a tool to practice mindfulness;
• how to grow our strengths; and
• how we can use and grow our strengths to tackle mistakes and face life challenges.

All this along with our usual DOSE of resilience.

Art techniques: watercolour painting, drawing and clay.

BYO a willingness to try and learn from mistakes. Kids need to bring their imagination, morning tea, nut free lunch and drink bottle. All materials supplied and children get to take their creation home. Dress for mess, aprons provided.
