Embroidering Flora for Beginners

Slow down learning a time-honoured craft to stitch a plant portrait for your wall.
This workshop will go through five basic embroidery stitches to give you the confidence to create the floral frond of your choice. Real or imagined, there is no pressure to create a drawing out of a botany book; we will be working from photographs for inspiration, or to trace from. You’re welcome to bring in photos of any blooms that are significant to you.

You’ll get to take a small kit to keep you going at home, including a five inch embroidery hoop that’s ready to hang when you’ve finished stitching your floral creation.
