‘Clay Studio’ with Natalie

Natalie Zuchetti, a WA Artist and Art Educator (GATE) specialist has over 10 years experience teaching Visual Art in art centres and schools in Perth. Natalie creates a learning environment that is both positive and relaxed, working with her young artists individually by supporting or extending them as they need.
Clay is a wonderful tactile medium that many children have never experienced before. Its three dimensional nature inspires children to think about structure, shapes and forms.
Filled Pottery Candles and Garden Sunflower Sculpture
Young artists will learn how to create a beautiful hand built ceramic vessel that will hold their handmade soy candle and a large sunflower sculpture for the garden. Different types of hand-building techniques, glazing effects and vibrant colour will be taught. Drawing, painting and design elements will be introduced and practiced.
A4 Visual Art Journal/Sketch book is highly recommended.
All materials, tools, aprons and firing included in the cost.
The classes run for 8 consecutive weeks in term 4.
