The Art of Ebru

Ebru or marbling is an old turkish painting technique that consists on colouring paper through putting it into contact with the pigments that are found floating onto a special water, prepared with a thickener. The setup of each paint drop and the movements that would be made on the water will determine the style of the print, making each piece unique and original.

During this workshop we will learn the basic process for traditional marbling technique, how to use the specific tools for it, explore with the different materials, surfaces and tools.

After the class you will come home with all the pieces you have created plus a guide/booklet so you can continue exploring and creating ebru from home.
