A Very Arty Science Play (Ages 6-12) with Strength Hero’s

Is your child a hands-on learner and budding scientist? This art meets science class will thrill the most curious of minds. In this all half day class, kids will discover how artists use science to create. In this workshop kids will discover the magical science behind perspective and optical illusions to answer the question: How do I make an object look like it is a long way away in a flat picture? They will make scratchboard and discover the intriguing process as they make marbled paper which they will make into a journal out of recycled materials to fill with their creative and curious ideas.

Not only will your kid learn some new art skills they will also explore how they can adopt a growth mindset and keep trying as they learn tricky skills and deal with unpredictable results. We also give them tips and tricks to build their resilience to tackle problems, mistakes or bounce forward when things go wrong.

At the end of this class, kids will be left feeling creatively fulfilled, and armed with new skills to be able to continue on their artistic journey. Your child will also get to take home their final pieces and a guide to developing their art journaling skills.
